Reiki and Hypnosis

A union of spirit and subconscious, guiding you into remembering.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle healing practice that supports balance in the mind, body, and spirit through the flow of universal life-force energy. The word itself comes from Japanese: Rei meaning “higher wisdom” and Ki meaning “life energy.”

This natural energy is what sustains harmony within us and around us. When received, Reiki helps the body relax, the mind settle, and the spirit realign. Many people experience a sense of calm, clarity, and lightness as stress and tension ease away.

Reiki works alongside the body’s natural ability to restore itself, supporting sleep, focus, emotional release, and overall wellbeing. It’s not about fixing, but about remembering — returning to the wholeness and harmony that’s already within you.

FAQs

  • Most people experience Reiki as a sense of calm, warmth, or lightness. Some feel gentle tingling or waves of energy, while others simply notice deep rest.

  • Each session begins with a short check-in to set intentions, then you’ll lie comfortably as Reiki flows through hands-off or light touch. Music, sound healing, Oracle card reading, or guided reflection may also be included.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a focused state of attention that opens the doorway to the subconscious mind. It’s a natural state we all move through daily — like when you’re caught in a daydream, scrolling, or driving on autopilot. In this space, the subconscious becomes more accessible, making it easier to plant new ideas, shift patterns, and release what no longer serves.

Hypnosis also invites us to see beyond the limits of the everyday mind — opening space for deeper alignment and new possibilities to unfold. At Salvage + Rescue, hypnosis is a collaborative, compassionate process. It’s not about control or performance, but about reconnecting with your peace, your power, and your remembering.

FAQs

  • No. You are always in control during a hypnosis session. Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention where your mind is more open and receptive. You can come out of it at any time, and you’ll only move toward what feels right for you.

  • Everyone experiences it differently. Some describe it as a relaxed, dreamy state; others feel very present and aware. Most people notice a sense of calm in the body and openness in the mind, similar to deep meditation or daydreaming.

  • Not at all. Hypnosis works with your subconscious whether or not you “believe” in it. All that’s needed is a willingness to relax and follow gentle guidance.

  • No. Stage hypnosis (what you may have seen on TV) is very different from therapeutic hypnosis. In this work, you’ll never be asked to do anything against your will or values. Everything is collaborative and guided with care.

  • Hypnosis can support shifting old patterns, easing self-limiting beliefs, releasing emotional blocks, and opening to new possibilities. It’s especially helpful if you’re navigating transition, stress, or simply seeking deeper alignment with yourself.

  • We begin with a check-in to set your intention. You’ll then be guided into a relaxed state through light hypnosis, with Reiki or sound woven in for integration. Each session closes with reflection so you leave grounded and supported.

  • Many clients leave feeling lighter, calmer, and clearer — like they’ve let go of something heavy and made space for something new. The shifts can feel subtle in the moment but ripple outward over time.
